In 2004, PHP 5.0 was released, marking another significant milestone in its evolution. This version introduced a more advanced object-oriented model, along with other features such as improved error handling and the introduction of a standardized database access layer. With these improvements, PHP became a more powerful and versatile programming language. Today, PHP is the backbone of many popular websites and web applications, such as Facebook, Wikipedia, and WordPress. Its popularity and widespread use can be attributed to its ease of use, flexibility, and continuous evolution with each new version.
